Sancti Spiritus, April 17 (RHC) -– Chinese ambassador to Havana Zhang Tuo said that Cuba and China enjoy bilateral relations in their best moment as such links continue to strengthen.

During a visit to the central province of Sancti Spiritus, the Chinese diplomat said that hundreds of young people from his country are currently taking medical and language courses in Cuba, while Cubans are also studying in Chinese universities.

The two countries are also developing joint collaboration projects, while trade is increasing and Chinese entrepreneurs are interested in investment opportunities currently offered by the Caribbean island, said Zhang Tuo.

During a meeting with local political and government authorities, the Chinese delegation was briefed about the economic and social development in the central Cuban province, which is largely an agricultural territory.

Ambassador Zhang Tuo and his delegation has also toured social and production centers and cultural entities in the city of Sancti Spiritus, the fourth villa founded by Spanish colonizers in Cuba some 500 years ago.
