Experts on Animal Production From Twenty Countries Will Meet in Havana

Havana, November 18 (RHC)-- Experts from 20 nations are meeting in Havana at the 18th Meeting of the Latin American Association of Animal Production. The event got underway this morning at Havana’s Palace of Conventions, with the attendance of scientists, experts, researchers, professors and business people.

The conference will be opened by a presentation from Mr. Theodor Friederich, Representative in Cuba of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the FAO. Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay will present papers at the meeting.


FAO Expert Tito Díaz, from the UN Organization’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, will speak about the contribution of animal production to Food Security in the region.
 

Technical areas such as the handling of animals, the production of feed, the contribution of science to the development of herds and to animal health and the conservation and trading of animal products will also be covered.
