Vietnam Reaffirms Will to Reinforce Cooperation With Cuba

Hanoi, November 29 (RHC).-- Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguen Tan Dung, told the new Cuban Ambassador, Herminio Lopez, of their country’s determination to improve its links with Cuba for common benefit.

The Vietnamese official said Cuba rendered important support of Vietnam during its national liberation war against US military aggression and occupation, and currently continues its cooperation with the Asian country.

He urged the incoming Cuban diplomat to give further thrust to the connections with Vietnamese Ministries and other official entities with a view to the fullest implementation of all existing agreements and the establishment of new cooperation schemes.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister emphasized bilateral

cooperation in economic, commercial and investment projects, as well as potentialities for links in the Education, Pharmaceutical, Scientific and Technological fields.

He expressed the hope that Vietnamese institutions could also be of service to Cuba in telecommunications and agriculture.
