Prime Minister of East Timor Says He Came to Learn from Cuba

Havana, October 3 (RHC)-- Visiting Prime Minister of East Timor Rui María de Araujo said that he came to the Caribbean state to learn from the experience of the Cuban people in several fields.

In statements to reporters upon his arrival Friday evening in Havana, the prime minister of the Asian country conveyed a message of solidarity and friendship to the Cuban government and people sent by President of East Timor Taur Matan Ruak on behalf of his people.

Prime Minister Rui María de Araujo pointed to the excellent state of bilateral relations between East Timor and Cuba. He praised Cuba's cooperation with the Asian country in several sectors. During his stay in Cuba, the distinguished visitor is scheduled to visit places of interest and hold talks with Cuban government officials, including President Raúl Castro.
