Cuban President Raúl Castro Receives Prime Minister of East Timor

Havana, October 6 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raúl Castro met Monday with the visiting Prime Minister of East Timor, Rui María de Araujo, at the Revolution Palace.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations, which they termed as excellent, and expressed the political will on both sides to further strengthen cooperation ties, particularly in the health and sports areas.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Rui María de Araujothe visited the Victoria de Girón Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, devoted to the training of Cuban and foreign health professionals.

The head of government of the Asian country is also scheduled to visit the Havana-based Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Education and Sports.

During his stay in Cuba, which runs through Thursday, October 8th, the Asian leader is also expected to meet with Cuban Parliament President Esteban Lazo.
