Moscow, October 20 (RHC-PL) -- The Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, assessed the prospects of cooperation with Russia at the request of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

During a meeting on Monday in Moscow with presidential adviser Sergei Glazev, Cabrisas examined the relevance of an incorporation of Cuba to the EEU as an observer.

Cabrisas, also the co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission, arrived in Moscow on Sunday to conduct a program of meetings with Russian authorities and promote the signing of agreements at the government level.

The conversations of the Cuban vice president with the heads of the company Uralvagonzavod, Oleg Sienko, and the Sinara Group, Sergei Papin, respectively, were focused on the prospects of cooperation in the railway sector, in the spheres of repair, modernization and production of freight cars.

Cabrisas will also hold a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitri Rogozin. Both presided in April this year over a special session of the Intergovernmental Commission, held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, in Russia.
