Cuban President's Upcoming Visit to France Proves Bilateral Solidarity Bonds

Havana, January 27 (RHC)-- French ambassador to Cuba Jean Marie Bruno said on Tuesday that the upcoming visit to his country by President Raul Castro proves the bonds of solidarity between France and Cuba.

In statements to Cuban television, the French diplomat stressed his government's commitment to strengthen relations with Havana and he described Cuba as special component of this part of the world and a very particular partner.

The diplomat said that the visit by the Cuban President will favor the island's financial situation with regards to the international community and that he expects the signing of a bilateral accord concerning the negotiation of Cuba's debt.

He also said that as a result of the visit, the French Development Agency could come to Cuba to support production projects and investments.

The French ambassador also announce that an accord on political dialog and cooperation with the European Union to take place over the next few weeks.

Jean Marie Bruno said that France will continue to back Cuba´s demand on the lifting of the US economic blockade since such a policy also affects French companies in Cuba.
