Havana, Jun 28 (RHC) - Cuba won three titles in the Central American Judo Master Tournament of Santo Domingo 2025.
Rigoberto Macías (100 kg), in the M5 category, for men between 50 and 54 years old, managed to dominate that section.
Macías recently won the crown at the Pan-American Judo Master Championship of Bogota 2024.
Julio César Ortiz (66 kg) was crowned in the M4 category, which includes competitors between 45 and 49 years old.
And the third crown came from the hands of Yadira Ramos (63 kg) competing with women between 35 and 39 years old, in the F2 category.
Ramos has a bronze medal in the 2014 National Judo Championship, and that same year participated in the Grand Prix of Judo in Havana.
The performance seems relevant in the context of judo in the area, which confirms Cuba as one of the powers of the discipline in the region.
