Havana, June 2 (RHC) - Several players have joined the Cuban national soccer team, which is preparing in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to face the CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2026 Fifa World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Carlos Vázquez, Karel Pérez and senior debutants Martin Rodríguez and Jorge Aguirre arrived in the Dominican Republic and are training under the orders of the Cuban coaching staff.

The defender, Karel Pérez, valued as positive the experience combined with youth in the recent call of Yunielys Castillo, "we just have to show on the field that we have quality and move the team forward, which is what is needed".

On this occasion he will share the Tricolor squad with his teammate Aguirre, who plays for Gil Vicente of Portuguese soccer, and that motivates him in particular.
