Havana, Jun 14 (JIT) - Cuban Liván Moinelo scored his sixth victory of the season on Friday, in the 4x1 victory of the SoftBank Falcons over the DeNA Stars, in the Japanese Professional Baseball League 2025.

As host at the Mizuho Pay Pay Dome, in Fukuoka, the left-hander from Pinar del Río pitched a complete nine-inning game in which he only allowed one run on Keita Sano's home run in the seventh inning.

With pitches that reached 94 miles per hour, the speedy slugger only allowed three hits, did not give out tickets, and struck out 13 times.

In his previous game he had struck out 18.

With this praiseworthy performance, he improved his effectiveness to 1.26 WHIP to remain third in that department in the Pacific League.

Likewise, he took over the absolute leadership of "abanicados" with 89, and equaled the first place in victories.

His performance, and that of right-hander Raidel Martínez, also from Pinar del Río, closer of the Yomiuri Giants, author of 21 saves in the Central League, bring good news for Cuba in that circuit.
