
Abdulrashid Sadulaev
Havana, June 29 (RHC) Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev won the Russian Wrestling Championship, held at the VTB Arena in Moscow, according to the Sport RIA Novosti website.
In the final bout in the 97-kilogram category, Sadulaev defeated Magomed Kurbanov and became a seven-time champion of the Russian Federation. The bronze medals went to Aslanbek Sotiev and Soslan Dzhagaev.
Sadulaev, 29, won the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He also has six World Championship victories and four European Championship victories.
Other wrestlers who won titles at the Russian Wrestling Championship were Musa Mejtijanov in the 57-kilogram category; Ibraguim Ibraguimov in the 65 kg category; Saiyin Kazirik in the 70 kg category; Iman Ganishov in the 74 kg category; Ahmed Gusmanon in the 79 kg category; Ibrahim Kadiev in the 86 kg category; Amanula Ganzhimagomedov in the 92 kg category; and Abdulah Kurbanov in the 125 kg category.
