Havana, July 12 (RHC)-- Since it became known this Friday that the U.S. State Department imposed immigration sanctions on Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and the Ministers of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Álvaro López Miera, and of the Interior, Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas, there have been multiple complaints both inside and outside the country.

The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and Prime Minister of the Republic, Manuel Marrero Cruz, expressed his rejection of the U.S. agency's decision through his account on the social network X, as it is groundless.

"No aggression will be able to subdue us," the head of government emphasized.

"We denounce the immigration sanctions imposed by the US against President @DiazCanelB and the ministers of @MinfarC and @minint_cuba, which are baseless and are in addition to the economic warfare measures against #Cuba.

For his part, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez also condemned the measure adopted by the government, "which is capable of maintaining a prolonged and ruthless economic war against Cuba, but does not have the capacity to subdue the will of this people or its leaders," he wrote.

The head of Cuban diplomacy accompanied his message on the same platform with the hashtag "Cuba Is Firm."

Meanwhile, Johana Tablada, the deputy director of the United States at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spoke out to condemn the cynicism of the Cuban Secretary of State, a "defender of genocide, prisons, and mass deportations."

At the same time, she highlighted the honesty of the Cuban president "who fights tirelessly for his country," deserving "of the respect of the people who do not give up."

When the vile sec. The United States Secretary of State, a defender of genocide, prisons, and mass deportations, sanctions the honorable President @DiazCanelB, who fights tirelessly for his country. The respect of the people who do not give up is growing. #CubaIsFirm #CubaWillWin #IFollowMyPresident pic.twitter.com/E8NQ2SVd6Q

In Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro expressed his solidarity with his counterpart Miguel Díaz-Canel, in the face of the illegal measures imposed against him by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“I am sure that the brotherly Cuban people will continue fighting; know that you can count on Venezuela and ALBA-TCP (Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement) to make the dream of Bolívar, Martí, Fidel, and Chávez come true,” he wrote on his Telegram account.

“Venezuela always with Cuba!” the Bolivarian leader emphasized.

The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strongest and most categorical rejection of what it called the “infamous pronouncement” by Rubio, who seeks to sanction the Cuban president.

The official statement stated that it is “an intolerable affront to international law that a U.S. government official should assume the power to sanction the head of state of a sovereign country” and described the action as “a new display of hatred, unhealthy obsession, and imperial arrogance.”
