The project, which will celebrate International Creole Day at the Casa Cultural del Alba, encourages exchanges between people interested in learning about creole roots

Havana, Oct 28 (RHC) As part of the celebration for Cuban Culture this October, the Bannzil Kreyol Kibá Cultural Project celebrates International Creole Day today in Havana.

The activity will take place at the Casa del Alba Cultural at 2:00 p.m. local time, where dances and music will be performed in Creole, a fundamental language in the Caribbean and part of the identity of the nations that make it up.

The Bannzil Kreyol Kibá project also encourages exchange between people interested in learning about this root of the culture of the Antillean region.

This call led by journalist Hilario Batista Félix and the Havana Haitian Community will be attended by members of the Caribbean diplomatic corps accredited in the capital, officials from cultural institutions and prestigious intellectuals.

Creole, a language declared a World Heritage Site after being established internationally in the Seychelles Islands, is the second most spoken language in some regions of Cuba due to the large number of Caribbean descendants and natives living in the country. (Source: Radio Rebelde)
