Havana, August 18 (RHC)-- Liván Moinelo scored his eighteenth save in the Japan Professional Baseball League 2022 (NPB).

The shortstop from Pinar del Río did not allow a hit or run in one inning of relief, contributing to the 5x3 victory of the SoftBank Falcons over the Seibu Lions.

The left-hander added three strikeouts to his personal tally and improved his ERA to 0.96. His compatriot and teammate Alfredo Despaigne fired a double in four visits to the plate and scored a run to leave his average at .261.

In another game of the day, Dayán Viciedo had two singles and a walk in his Chunichi Dragons' 1-0 loss to the Hiroshima Carp at Mazda Stadium.

His teammate Pedro Revilla went 3-0 with one hit to lower his average to .270. Camagüey right-hander Yariel Rodríguez struck out one of the three batters he faced in one inning of relief to leave his ERA at 1.69.

The NPB Central League is currently dominated by the Yakult Golondrinas with 62 wins, 43 losses and one tie. In the NPB Pacific League, the Seibu Lions are 58-49-3, 1.5 games behind the Softbank Falcons.
