Barbados sports minister to visit Cuba

Minister of Sports of Barbados

Havana, October 13 (JIT) - Cuba and Barbados will strengthen their relations in the field of sports with the upcoming visit to Havana of Charles Griffith, minister of youth, sports and community empowerment.

The Barbadian executive will arrive in Cuba on Sunday and will tour facilities that contribute to the development of the Cuban Sports Movement.

The visitor will be welcomed by Inder's main authorities and will visit the Havana Anti-Doping Laboratory, the Orbeín Quesada National Boxing School, the Cuban Sports Research Center, the Giraldo Córdova Cardín High Performance Athletes Training School and the Cubadeportes S.A. company. 

Griffith is expected to be accompanied by Yolande Howard, permanent secretary acting as first vice president, and Neil Murrell, director of sports. 

The program also includes a visit to the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences
