Oct 2, -- The 14th International Wine Festival kicks off Wednesday at Havana’s National Hotel with the attendance of international wine producers, dealers and experts interested in the Cuban market.

Representatives of wine companies from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, France and Cuba will take part at the festival, whose agenda includes lectures on the marriage of wine brands and the famous Cuban cigars, along with specific dishes. Wine launches and blind testing sessions are also scheduled during the event.

The festival has counted on the support of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Habanos S.A. Company and the Federation of Culinary Associations, said National Hotel’s marketing specialist Victor Rosquete.

Renowned wine companies with a presence in Cuba will take part at the event, such as Euro-Cuba, Freixenet, Pucara, ITM, Tobías, Joan Sardá and Duprasa. All of them will share their experience on wine making and sales.

Last year’s festival proved Cuba’s potential as a good wine market, in tune with the local interest in boosting tourism and a wine-related culture in the country. /ACN
