Caracas, November 13 (RHC) -- As proposed during a meeting in Caracas, Environment ministers from the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) have arrived at a strategy to share environmental management, local media reported Tuesday.
The ministers also discussed disaster risk management, waste management and biological diversity.
The statement confirmed that "These strategic lines convey the commitment of our countries to environmental conservation, and this is linked to social inclusion and the eradication of poverty in the region.”
Mercosur's environmental working sub-group was established in 1995 to promote sustainable development in its member countries: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela
