Havana, Feb 8, -- The secretariat of the Latin American and Caribbean Continental Student Organization, known by its Spanish accronyms OCLAE, will meet in Havana February 10 to 15, in which young people will ratified their vital postulate for this region which expresses that education is not merchandize.

In statements to the Cuban News Agency, OCLAE president Ricardo Guardia said, on behalf of the Cuban University Student Federation that over 20 organizations from 17 countries are expected to take part at the forum.

Key discussions will focus on the struggle for public, free and high quality education, for peace and social justice, as well as for revolutionary teaching that places the human being at the center of its influence and not the marketing promoted by transnational companies.

The organization leader said that the accords to be reached at the meeting will reflect the regional integration efforts and perspectives that stemmed from the 2nd Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, recently held in Havana.
