European Office Praises Quality of Cuban Higher Education

Havana, February 13 (RHC)-- The European Office for Education, Culture, Language and Youth has addressed the issue of the quality of Cuban Higher Education during a press conference at the 9th University 2014 International Congress, underway in Havana.

Androulla Vassiliou, an official with the European Office said that the Cuban experience in the field is of benefit to the European community especially in the academic programs currently being offered on Latin America.

The official toured Old Havana, accompanied by City Historian Eusebio Leal, to whom she expressed her admiration for the restoration of the treasured heritage. Vassiliou also expressed the support of her organization through different programs in higher education, including postgraduate and doctorate courses.

University 2014 is being attended by over 2,700 delegates and guests from 42 countries.
