Cuban top leaders meet with visiting North Korean Worker´s Party vice president

Havana, May 24 (RHC)—Cuban authorities met on Thursday with Ri Su Yong, vice president of the Central Committee of the Worker´s Party of Korea, who is on the island for a working visit.

Cuban Communist Party leaders Raul Castro and Jose Machado Ventura received the distinguished guest. During the encounter they exchanged about the excellent state of relations that unite their peoples, parties and governments, and ratified the will to continue deepening them. They also addressed issues of the international situation.

Previously, the president of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez had also welcomed the senior North Korean leader.

The Cuban President expressed appreciation for the hospitality he received during his official visit last year to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and recalled with satisfaction the meeting he held with North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un.
