Tourists from Cuba's northern keys return to their countries

Ciego de Avila, March 22 (RHC)-- Tourists vacationing in the Jardines del Rey hotels were returning to their respective countries Sunday morning from the international airport of Cayo Coco, on the northern coast of central Cuba.

The delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in Ciego de Avila province, Iyolexis Correa, told Prensa Latina that the flights are being made with total guarantee, safety and in a gradual manner, according to the planned schedule.

She stressed that the return is a response to the latest measures implemented by the Cuban government to deal with the new coronavirus, which is affecting  25 people on the island, including both foreigners and nationals.

At the moment at the international clinic in Cayo Coco there are still three suspected patients to be confirmed, who remain asymptomatic and stable in their evolution,  Leonardo Batista. director of medical services at the resort told Prensa Latina.

Managers of the tourist facilities in Jardines del Rey are working on details for the relocation of workers and to comply with regulatory measures and protection of hotels and recreational facilities.

There are also plans to take advantage of the transitional provisions to carry out maintenance on the hotels and to intensify measures to save energy inputs and carriers.
