Havana, January 29 (RHC)--Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez said Thursday that "the country will continue to improve, will continue to grow and win; the Revolution will always be firm, will always be present".

Speaking in the ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the Jose Marti Memorial, which coincided with the 168th birthday of the Cuban National Hero, the head of state praised the idea of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, of founding this site to promote Martí's thought among the new generations.

He pointed out that the main merit of those who work in the Memorial is their commitment to the center's founding ideals, conducting a permanent tribute to Martí and Fidel, 'which is also a tribute to the Homeland and the Revolution'.

The Memorial's Director, Enith Alerm Prieto, highlighted the permanent support received from the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raúl Castro, and the head of state of the island, to whom she presented replicas of the Memorial.

On Thursday, the president praised on Twitter the selflessness of the staff of the facility, which focuses on the life and work of Martí and the history of the construction of the Square and the monument to the Apostle of Cuban independence.
