Díaz-Canel thanks Mexican President for his recognition of Cuba

Havana, Jul 7 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today thanked his Mexican counterpart, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, for his recognition of the island's support in the fight against Covid-19 in that nation.

On Twitter, the Cuban president also made reference to the interest expressed by López Obrador in the process of elaboration of two vaccines developed by the Caribbean country against that disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

He also reiterated Cuba's affection for Mexico and its willingness to cooperate bilaterally in all fields.

On Tuesday, the Mexican head of State expressed his gratitude for the help received during the most challenging moments of the pandemic expansion and the interest in exchanging experiences in vaccines and acquiring those developed by the island.

In his morning press conference, he recalled that Cuba sent all the health personnel requested by his government to support the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and described the bilateral relationship as very fraternal in all fields.
