Havana, August 6 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez congratulated the Bolivian people and government on the 196th anniversary of the declaration of independence of that South American nation.

On Twitter, the Foreign Minister recognized the country's effort and dedication 'for the continuity of the democratic-cultural revolution, for sustainable development and social justice.

The President of the Plurinational State, Luis Arce, led the celebrations for the commemoration.

In honor of the date, a session of honor was held in the new venue of the Legislative Assembly (parliament), where the head of state will deliver a message.

On August 6, 1825 took place the proclamation of independence of Bolivia, which before was a Spanish colony.
