Havana, Sep 16 (RHC) Specialists from Cuba and the World and Pan American Health Organization described as excellent and fruitful the virtual meeting for the process of international recognition of national anti-Covid-19 vaccines.

This was reported on Thursday by the Business Group of the Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Industries of Cuba (BioCubaFarma) on its Twitter account.

This is the first official meeting between Cuban experts and those from these international and regional organizations on the subject.

Cuban scientists presented details of the results in clinical trials of the Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines, as well as the Soberana 01 and Mambisa candidates.

Prior to this meeting, there were some meetings with the WHO/PAHO representatives, both in Havana and Geneva, but after this Thursday, the health agencies will begin to evaluate the documentation submitted by the largest Antillean island.

The PAHO/WHO representative here, José Moya, recently explained that a working team will be set up to review the results of the clinical trials, production processes and quality of the three Cuban vaccines. (Source: PL)
