Cuba reported 3,596 cases of Covid-19 and 40 deaths

Havana, October 6 (RHC)— Cuban health authorities reported on Wednesday 3,596 new cases of Covid-19 and 40 deaths due to complications associated with the disease. This is the lowest daily number of cases of the last three months.

 

The country accumulates 904,000 infections with this coronavirus since March 11, 2020, and 7,703 fatalities, said the head of the National Epidemiology Department, Francisco Durán, in a televised briefing

 

 20,884 active patients remain hospitalized, said the expert.

 

Pinar del Rio Province remains as the pandemic hotspot on the island with  913 cases, followed by Santi Spiritus with 495, and Las Tunas with 421.
