Sancti Spiritus, July 9 (RHC) -- The 44th European brigade of solidarity with Cuba "Jose Marti" will tour places of historic interest in the central provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti Spiritus as part of their ongoing visit to Cuba, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) has announced.

The contingent of young people from Italy, Russia, Turkey, Spain and Switzerland will travel to Villa Clara from July 16th through the 20th, and there will take part in a tribute ceremony to late Argentinian-Cuban guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara.

The brigade is currently staying at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, in Artemisa, west of Havana.

According to their program, activities in Sancti Spiritus province will include a tribute to late Commander Camilio Cienfuegos at the monumental complex in Yaguajay, erected in his memory.

They will also hold meetings with farmers and members of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (the largest mass organization in Cuba) and tour the village of Trinidad, a Cultural Heritage site founded 500 years ago.
