Havana, May 16 (RHC)-- Cuba maintains the downward trend of Covid-19 cases; an achievement reached due to the permanence of the established hygienic-sanitary measures and the level of immunization earned with nationally produced vaccines.

Such results are evidenced by the report issued by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, which informed that in the last 24 hours, 93 people were detected with Covid-19.

Only 467 people are ill with Covid-19 on the island. Since the pandemic's beginning in March 2020, 1 104,589 citizens have been diagnosed with the virus, and  8,529 have died.

The Ministry of Public Health also informed that 7,154,721 people had received the booster dose against Covid-19, which shows the high level of immunization of the Cuban population.
