Cienfuegos, July 26 (RHC)-- Army General and leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro, and President Miguel Díaz-Canel, led the central act for the 69th anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks.

The province of Cienfuegos was chosen to host this patriotic date due to its social and economic impact.

The Cienfuegos square, in front of the province's seawall, hosted the commemoration of the national anniversary, which began with the collective singing of the national anthem.

Also in attendance were Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, members of the national and provincial Party secretariat, members of the Political Bureau, and protagonists of the historic attack of July 26, members of the U.S.-Cuba Friendship Caravan / Pastors for Peace.
