Two planes arrive in Cuba with electrical material from Mexico

Havana, Oct 1 (RHC) - Two planes from Mexico arrived in Cuba with electrical material destined for the recovery of the province of Pinar del Río, badly affected by the passage of Hurricane Ian.

The Mexican ambassador, Miguel Díaz Reynoso, and local authorities received the solidarity cargo that will contribute to the recovery of the western region, the most affected by the impact of the meteorological event.

Recently, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced the delivery of aid in response to the damage caused by Ian and acknowledged that this determines the continuity of the exchange between the two countries, which has been constant in recent years.

This new contribution ratifies the policy of support to the Caribbean territory maintained by López Obrador, who also supplied medicines and food in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic and assisted the Armed Forces by sending technicians of Petróleos Mexicanos to help control the fire in Matanzas.
