Europe for Cuba channel highlighted the resounding vote at the UN General Assembly against the U.S. blockade

Havana, Nov 6 (RHC) Europe for Cuba channel on Sunday highlighted the resounding vote at the UN General Assembly against the U.S. blockade of the island, a policy that the program's moderators described as genocidal.

In its Sunday broadcast, the platform that celebrated two years of uninterrupted transmissions in October dealt with what happened on Thursday at the headquarters of the multilateral body in New York, where 185 of the 193 member states of the United Nations, supported the resolution that calls for the end of the economic siege applied by Washington for more than 60 years.

The channel's hosts, José Antonio Toledo and Patricia Pérez recalled that for the thirtieth time since 1992, the General Assembly demanded the lifting of the blockade, a result they considered a moral victory for Cuba and its people, even though the United States ignores the universal call.

They warned that the vote ratified the solitude of the empire, together with Israel, the only two votes against the resolution, in its cavernous, genocidal, unjustified, and illegal policy.

Among the guests invited to Europe for Cuba channel, this day was the Portuguese MEP Sandra Pereira, who celebrated the new defeat of the blockade.

The communist parliamentarian called the blockade imposed by Washington a murderous and criminal siege and regretted the prolonged suffering it causes to the Cuban people.

Pereira repudiated that the United States appeals to its hegemonic power to ignore the will of the vast majority of countries, including the members of the European Union.

In the program, Toledo and Pereira offered details of the impact of the blockade on the island and its inhabitants and denounced the financial persecution, the economic war, and the media aggressions it implies.

Likewise, they condemned the inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral U.S. list of countries sponsoring terrorism, a lie used to intensify the asphyxiation of the Island. (Source: PL)
