Havana, Nov 28 (RHC) Representatives of Cuba and Vietnam expressed Monday the commitment to strengthen relations in the legal sector, as well as the existing ties of brotherhood and binational cooperation.

In a dialogue with the Minister of Justice of the Indochinese nation, Le Thanh Long, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero described these ties as mutually advantageous and assured that the Government of the island will follow up on the agreements signed in legal matters.

He also expressed his satisfaction with receiving the visitor at the Palace of the Revolution (seat of the Executive) and ratified the Cuban Government's support for the joint work and relations between both Ministries.

For his part, Le Thanh assured that Fidel Castro's phrase "for Vietnam, we are ready to give even our blood", and the image of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution flying the Vietnamese flag during a visit to that country, are unforgettable for his compatriots.

On this day, the visitor placed a wreath with his counterpart Oscar Silvera in front of the monument of revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh in Havana.

The two officials also held a meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice, where they signed a letter of intent that specifies aspects of collaboration in legal matters between the two countries.

The Vietnamese dignitary presented the commemorative stamp 'For the Cause of Justice' to his Cuban counterpart and to the president of the National Organization of Collective Law Firms, Lilian María Hernández, for her outstanding work in strengthening relations between the two Ministries.
