Spanish MEP Manu Pineda

Paris, Nov 29 (RHC) The Coordinating Committee of Cuban Residents in France and the Europe for Cuba channel on Tuesday recognized Spanish MEP Manu Pineda for his solidarity with our country and his permanent denunciation of the blockade imposed by the U.S. government.

On behalf of the Coordinating Committee and the channel, Haydeline Díaz presented the work Mi bandera, mi piel, by Cuban artist Luis Alberto Ruiz Saavedra, to the communist leader in Havana.

We want to acknowledge and thank Manu Pineda for his work of accompaniment throughout all these years, his solidarity with the homeland and its Revolution, and his condemnation of the blockade, Diaz explained.

He also highlighted the symbols of love for Cuba contained in Ruiz Saavedra's painting. The MEP considered the recognition an honor and ratified his support to the Antillean nation in its struggles for a better world.

I am grateful for this gesture of the patriotic Cubans who defend their people from wherever they are and the Europe for Cuba channel, said Pineda, who is the vice president of the Informal Group of Friendship with our country in the European Parliament. (Source: Prensa Latina).
