Council of Ministers holds the last meeting of the year

Havana, Dec 28 (RHC) With the presence of Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, and led by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, the last meeting of the Council of Ministers of the year 2022 was held on Wednesday.

 

As part of the topics discussed, Marta Elena Feitó, Minister of Labor and Social Security, presented the availability for students from ninth grade to continue their studies in high school, as well as for higher education.

 

The Minister explained that this will take into account the careers available, the demands of the organizations, and the different territories.

José Ramón Saborido, Minister of Higher Education talked about the study and preparation plans for State and Government cadres and reserves.

 

At the meeting, Gladys Bejerano, Comptroller General of the Republic presented the results of the 14th National Audit of Internal Control and the execution of control actions in 2023.

 

The implementation of the industrial development policy was also on the agenda. Marrero Cruz called attention to the need to accompany the industry due to its importance in the development of the country's economy.  (Source: ACN)
