Caracas, Dec 2 (RHC) The Venezuela-Cuba Friendship and Mutual Solidarity Movement and its youth segment congratulated the Cuban people and government on the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, in a communiqué circulated today in this capital.

The text evokes the dawn of December 31, 1958, when the Rebel Army put an end to the dictatorial regime of Fulgencio Batista and gave way to the historic arrival of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro (1926-2016) on January 1, 1959.

The youth and people of Venezuela "extend a fraternal embrace" to their Cuban counterparts, to maintain and strengthen the ties of friendship and mutual solidarity between both nations.

In this way, it stressed, they continue the humanist legacy of Simón Bolívar, José Martí, Fidel Castro, and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) in favor of the struggles against the injustices and criminal attacks of the empire and its lackeys. (Source: PL)
