Hungarian Chancellor paid tribute to José Martí in Havana

Havana, Jan 18 (RHC) On Wednesday, Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjártó paid tribute to José Martí, Cuba's National Hero, in Havana's '13 de Marzo Park.

 

Accompanied by Angel Villa Hernandez, director of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Island, the Hungarian high official laid a wreath before the equestrian statue of the most universal of Cubans.

 

Szijjártó is on an official visit to Cuba, the second since his appointment, which is part of a tour of several countries of the American continent.

 

This morning, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel exchanged with the Hungarian Foreign Minister on the potential for diversifying ties between the two countries in sectors of mutual interest.

 

The president reported the meeting on his Twitter account and said that during the dialogue they reaffirmed the willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations. (Source: ACN)
