Cuba and Ho Chi Minh City will collaborate in health care project

Havana, Mar 27 (RHC) Cuban primary health care specialists will soon travel to Ho Chi Minh City to collaborate with the Vietnamese city in the development of a community medicine project, diplomatic sources confirmed today.

This was agreed during a videoconference between the Health Department of the southern metropolis and the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) held recently, the Cuban consul general in that city, Ariadne Feo Labrada, explained.

The Cuban consul general in Ho Chi Minh City stated that the two MINSAP experts will go to the Vietnamese city and then a group of professionals from the Ho Chi Minh City sector will travel to Cuba, as they are interested in getting to know the Cuban experience in primary health care and other topics related to it.

According to the Cuban diplomat, there is also a manifest interest on the part of the Vietnamese in knowing about the Cuban biopharmaceutical industry’s technological development, as well as regarding the production of vaccines.

The exchange between professionals from Ho Chi Minh City and Cuba responds to what was agreed by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz in his talks with the leaders of that southern city during the visit made last year. (Source: Prensa Latina)
