Algiers, May 5 (RHC-XINHUA) -– In this regard, the Cuban head of state, who was accompanied in Algiers by a high-ranking delegation, told reporters the two countries have agreed to expand their cooperation in the field of health, particularly in the domain of vaccines production.

"We have agreed on an accord for producing vaccines," the Cuban president told reporters after the meeting, saying the two countries enjoy long standing relations in the health field, as the first Cuban medical mission was sent to Algeria in 1963, one year after the independence of the North African nation.

The Cuban president also commented that he expected to return to Algiers later this year.
