Havana, Jul 14 (RHC) The U.S. government denied the Cuban women's children's softball team the possibility of participating in the Little League World Series.
This decision, contrary to the international sporting spirit, turns the dream of these children into another collateral victim of the blockade and hatred of the U.S. government.
The 14 girls who make up the Pinar del Río team from La Palma, national champions in the 9-10 years old category, were granted visas, but not the technical team of seven adults who were to accompany them, who were excluded without valid justification.
Cuba reaffirms its concern about the future implications of these actions, which could compromise the island's presence in the next Olympic Games or the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
