PSG Makes a Statement in the Champions League

by Javier Perez Jimenez

Havana, October 2 (RHC) – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) made a statement with their 2-1 victory over Barcelona in the second round of the Champions League.

A goal from Portuguese Goncalo Ramos in the final minute of regular time (90) ended the Spanish side’s hopes at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium.

Ferrán Torres put the Blaugranas ahead (20th minute) after a serious error by Portuguese Vitor Ferreira “Vitinha” in his clearance.

However, the Parisians increased their pressure and possession to equalize with a goal from Frenchman Senny Mayulu (38th).

PSG increased their pressure in the final stretch to seal the match with Ramos, assisted by Spanish-Moroccan Hakimi Achraf after a quick breakaway.
