Cuban Volleyball Players Contribute to Italian Club’s Victory

Havana, November 16 (RHC) – Cuban volleyball players José Miguel Gutiérrez and Robertlandy Simón made a decisive contribution today to the victory of the Piacenza club in the Italian Super League of the discipline.

Gutiérrez contributed 11 points and Simón eight, as their team defeated Cucine Lube Civitanova 3-0, with scores of 29-27, 28-26, and 25-22.

This was the third win for the northern Italian team, which has also suffered three defeats.

In other Sunday results, Verona defeated Perugia 3-2, Trentino beat Monza 3-0, and Cuneo defeated Grottazzolina 3-0.

Peruggia remains at the top of the standings with six wins and one loss, followed by Verona (5-1), Civitanova, and Trentino (4-2).
