Havana, November 16 (RHC) – Today, Italian motorcyclist Marco Bezzecchi won the Valencia Grand Prix, the last race of the MotoGP season.
Bezzecchi started from pole position at the Ricardo Tormo circuit and maintained his privileged position, ahead of Spaniard Raúl Fernández and fellow Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio.
Meanwhile, fellow Italian Francesco Bagnaia, a two-time world champion (2022 and 2023), retired on the first lap of the race after being forced off the track by Frenchman Johann Zarco.
Spaniard Álex Márquez, who had already secured his place as runner-up in the world championship behind his older brother Marc, finished in sixth place.
The Márquez brothers finished with 545 and 467 points, respectively, and Bezzecchi followed with 353, while fellow Spaniard Pedro Acosta, the other rider vying for a podium finish, had 307.
