The new version of the Government’s 2026 Economic and Social Program, updated with the results of the public consultation, is available on the Soberanía platform and on the Presidency’s website, according to Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz.
The prime minister emphasized on X that, during the consultation process, the document was analyzed with more than two million people from various sectors of society.
He noted that it is now up to each level to objectively update the actions to be developed. The Cuban prime minister also called for the Program to become a working tool, a guiding principle for achieving the necessary economic transformations in the complex scenario facing the country.
The head of government also announced that the public will be informed in the coming days about the results of the consultation, the main modifications to the Program’s content, and the progress of its implementation.
As the document itself defines, the Government’s Economic and Social Program 2026 outlines the planning and implementation for crisis management—what, how, and when to do it—to revitalize the economy.
It specifies that it is based on the programmatic documents approved at the VII Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba and responds to critical distortions, internal macroeconomic imbalances, and severe external impacts that threaten stability and the achievement of the objectives of the National Economic and Social Development Plan to 2030.
