Havana, April 22 (RHC) – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Nantes 3-0 at home today with a brace from Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a victory that allowed the red and blues to extend their lead in French football.
In a rescheduled match from Ligue 1 Matchday 26, PSG opened the scoring at the Parc des Princes in the 13th minute with a penalty from Kvaratskhelia, who then scored again in the 50th minute for his seventh goal of the season. Désiré Doué added his sixth goal in the 37th minute.
With the victory, PSG reached 66 points, four ahead of Lens. The two clubs will face each other in May in another rescheduled Ligue 1 match, which this weekend will complete its 31st round of the 34-round season.
Luis Enrique’s men will have a hectic end to the 2025-2026 season, with nine matches in 27 days.
The next big challenge for PSG, the reigning French and European champions, will be on April 28 at the Parc des Princes, in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.
