Cuba denounces threats of U.S. military action

by Ed Newman

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, denounced the express intentions of the United States government to take military action against Cuba, stating that making the threat of aggression constitutes an international crime.

Through his official account on the social network X, the foreign minister emphasized that Washington insists on taking military action, justifying it as necessary to liberate a “devastated” country.

“What is cynical and hypocritical is that the United States has been trying to devastate the country for decades with an economic war, and this administration is doing so with even greater determination in recent months with two genocidal Executive Orders.”

Bruno Rodríguez highlighted that both the economic and energy blockade, and the new extraterritorial coercive measures; The threat of military aggression and the aggression itself are international crimes.

US President Donald Trump imposed new sanctions against Cuba on Friday, asserting that his country “will take Cuba almost immediately.”
