Solidarity with Cuba was once again on full display in Barcelona, where Cubans and friends of the island celebrated the culmination of an important phase of solidarity work spearheaded by the Defensem Cuba platform, with the participation of the José Martí Association of Cubans in Catalonia and the ongoing support of the Cuban Consulate General in Barcelona.

According to the participating organizations, the campaign has completed 18 solidarity days, resulting in the shipment of 18 containers filled with medical supplies and other essential resources destined for the Cuban people.

The organizations involved highlighted the collective effort made over these months to gather medical equipment, supplies, and other necessary items, emphasizing that each container sent represents a concrete demonstration of support for the Cuban people and a rejection of the economic strangulation policy imposed by the United States.

The José Martí Association of Cubans in Catalonia also emphasized the importance of unity among solidarity movements, the Cuban community residing in Catalonia, and Cuban institutions—a collaboration that has made these shipments possible and reinforced the message that Cuba has the support of numerous international groups.

The conclusion of this phase of the campaign was celebrated as yet another example of active solidarity and commitment to Cuba in the face of the consequences of the blockade, reaffirming the commitment to continue developing initiatives to support the island.
