Havana, September 2 (RHC) – The world’s best skaters will gather from September 13-21 in Beidaihe, China, to celebrate the world championships in the discipline.
Sprinters and long-distance skaters from the junior and senior categories have been invited to the event.
The competition will feature a schedule of competitions in the 200-meter time trial and the 5,000-meter points race on the first day.
The 500-meter, 10,000-meter elimination, 1,000-meter sprint, and relay events will follow.
The competition will be completed with the 100-meter sprint, 10,000-meter points, 15,000-meter elimination, and a lap of the circuit.
The marathon for women and men will be held at the close of the competition, according to the International Skating Federation’s website, World Skate.
Colombia is once again emerging as the favorite to win the tournament.
The Colombian national team is the reigning world champion, having won the title during the last event hosted by Italy in 2023.
There, the Colombian team climbed to the top of the medal table, winning 28 gold medals, nine silver, and 13 bronze.
