Prime Minister Manuel Marrero highlighted that Cuba is currently implementing 158 of the 176 economic and social transformations approved to unleash productive forces and increase the supply of goods and services to the population.
The head of government noted that the measures foster the integration, autonomy, and diversity of the island’s business sector and boost the participation of all economic actors in Cuba’s development.
“The challenge now lies in achieving concrete results based on these provisions: increased production, higher revenues, better prices, and more jobs,” Marrero emphasized during the closing session of a training program for presidents of business groups and governing boards.
At the event, held over three days at the Higher School for State and Government Cadres, it was reported that the measures currently being implemented in the country are backed by 197 legal regulations.
The meeting also addressed the opportunities these approved measures offer business leaders to unleash productive forces and generate wealth that translates into an improved quality of life for the Cuban population.
