Havana, September 13 (RHC) – Today, Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium and climbed to the top of the English Premier League.
The Gunners, now with three wins and one loss, moved to nine points, temporarily level with Liverpool, who are unbeaten in three matches, and surpass Chelsea (7), who will face Brentford tonight at the Gtech Community Stadium in this city.
Martín Zubimendi, following a corner kick, sent the ball into the back of the net in the 32nd minute, giving Mikel Arteta’s men, last season’s runners-up, a definitive lead.
In the second half, Viktor Gyökeres, following an assist from Eberechi Eze, finished with his right foot to extend the lead, and Zubimendi completed the rout, thanks to a pass from Leandro Trossard. Also scheduled for this Saturday are Crystal Palace-Sunderland, Everton-Aston Villa, Fulham-Leeds United, and Newcastle-Wolverhampton.
The matches Bournemouth-Brighton and West Ham-Tottenham will complete the day.
