A week in the French capital will allow the squad, made up of three women and an equal number of men, to complete their preparations for a very high-level competition.

Marlin Pérez (49 kg) and two-time competitors in such events, Tamara Roble (57 kg) and Arletty de la Caridad Acosta (73 kg), provide the women’s presence.

The men are Brayan José Cantero (68 kg), Kevin Calderón (80 kg), and Yoikel Daniel Goicochea (+87 kg), champion of the 2025 Asunción Junior Pan American Games.

Traveling with them are coaches Arnoy Rojas, vice president and technical director of the Cuban Sports Federation, and the experienced Anaisa Hernández.

Each of the selected athletes has completed a rigorous fitness program, focused on perfecting their tactics and strengthening their physical endurance.

The expectation is to achieve performances that will position Cuba on the world circuit.
